Long-awaited document is a “decision tool.”
On Thursday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released some of their long-delayed guidance that schools, businesses and others can use as states reopen from coronavirus shutdowns.
Their six one-page document is intended as a “decision tool” that use traffic signs and other graphics to tell organizations what they should consider before reopening.
The tools are for schools, workplaces, camps, childcare centers, mass transit systems, and bars and restaurants. The CDC originally also authored a document for churches and other religious facilities, but that was not posted, although they declined to say why.
Some experts in the health field as well as politicians have been pushing the CDC to release as much guidance as possible to help businesses and organizations decide how to proceed. The decision tools have been undergoing review by different federal officials, with many edits from earlier versions.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For state agencies and businesses in their adoption of the guidelines for reopening issued by the CDC.
- That Americans would individually assume responsibility for their own health and wellbeing and adhere to the guidelines that best protect them.
